My reasons for selecting Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poetry from book (Noskhay-e-Wafa) for this project (Dil-e-Man Musafer-e- Man) are manifold, but specially that, in his words, I feel the fragrance of freedom, the depth of poignancy, the warmth of love, the promise of hope, the ring of truth, and most importantly, a wealth of guidance for his readers., and have used his rich and everlasting words to create various calligraphic compositions based on the special technique known as siyah mashq. 3rd Faiz International Festival 2017 Curated by : Salami Hashmi
